In such a case, you should try to send your kid to a camp where some of his/her friends are also going. This will enable your kid to easily settle in the new surroundings, without feeling lost and alone. When picking a camp for your kid, there are a few things to bear in mind. All camps must have specific rules regarding health. In the majority of the cases, camps have a doctor or some kind of nurse to act if something happens. Of course, if your kid suffers from some disease or illness and requires a special type of medicine, you must let the camp's main responsible know of it on the very first day. Make sure that the camp has specialized personnel with lifesaving techniques and CPR, just in case an accident takes place. Nevertheless, you do not have to worry. The majority of the camps are very safe. If you send your children to a summer camp, you will be sure that they are going to have a very good time, surrounded by many children of their age.
